ZOOPERMARKET
MELBOURNE ZOO

Fit out and interpretive graphic design concept, development and artwork for the Zoopermarket at Melbourne Zoo. The original Zoopermarket, the concept was developed as part of the Zoos Victoria Don’t Palm Us Off campaign. The Zoopermarket highlights the good, bad and ugly in the manufacturing of processed foods available on our supermarket shelves and the use (or not) of certified sustainable palm oil. The farming of unsustainable palm oil plays a a dvastating role in the destruction of Orang-utan habitat. Zoopermarket visitors are able to scan products and email manufacturers direct to request they modify production to save the Orang-utan populations. Designed to fit within the South-East Asian feel of the precinct, the Zoopermarket was the 2016 winner of the Interpretation Australia, Best Interpretive Project Under $150,000 award.
