FROGS
MELBOURNE ZOO
Two giant, cast-concrete Southern Corroboree Frog play sculptures are located at the entrance of the frog exhibit at Melbourne Zoo. The frogs are like magnets for small, climbing Zoo visitors and Healesville Sanctuary now houses their own giant froggy pair. The project also included graphic interpretation, interactives, fit out of scenic-painted walls and a Southern Corroboree Frog hunt challenge in the adjacent outdoor space.
Person Place Thing: Graphic interpretation and scenic wall design, sculpture, fabrication and installation of giant, play Southern Corroboree Frogs and small sculptural frogs.
Other members of project team: Melbourne Zoo interpretation team, Aeroplane Design, Janet Hulme.
